I volunteered at the 2010 B of A Marathon, I wanted to again but I moved to Fayette,IA to attend Upper Iowa University. Hope I could maybe assist again.

Abby, you are amazing. I know you hear that all the time…but you are such a joy for me to watch. I am about your age and also grew up watching and worshipping the 99ers. I love soccer with a passion, it’s in my blood. Unfortunately my soccer days ended abruptly with a torn ACL, MCL and meniscus a few years ago. Several complications and 3 surgeries later I am still trying to find the nerve to play again. You inspire me to get myself back into the game. I crave the field…especially after watching you and the WNT play. I watched every second of the world cup this summer and was SO VERY proud of you and your amazing teammates. Your name became such a household name around here that my 18 month daughter named her baby doll “Abby Bach” and in the Nike outlet she saw a huge picture of you on the wall and screamed “LOOK MOMMY ABBY BACH!!”. It may have been my proudest moment as a mother!!!!! The entire store was shocked and entertained!! I hope she will look up to you always and that she will love playing soccer as much as I do!
I got to watch you play in the MagicJack playoff game vs. Philly in August at PPL park and sat behind Bri Scurry!!! I talked to her, shook her hand and got a great picture with her! I hope to meet you one day!!! Thanks for being you!
